You're right that more movies of hers are on VHS than on DVD. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I can guess. Some of her films are or were available on tape from small mom and pop's like Grapevine. It's expensive to restore a print and add extras for a good DVD release. Some companies have folded before they could do this again like Grapevine, while other companies could releases DVDs and don't. While we are so passionate about Louise and her silent films, these companies might not think it's worth their expense to release DVDs. With the extension of copyrights, there may also be rights issues.
